Kaycen Andrew Bays

Kaycen Andrew Bays was born sleeping at 5:20 am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, weighing .2 oz and 5 ½ inches long. Though his time was brief, the impact of his existence will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him.

Even though Kaycen did not have the chance to experience the beauty of life, he will forever remain an irreplaceable part of his family’s story, a spark of love that kindles hope in the hearts of those left behind. He is survived by his loving parents, Keegan and Sarah Bays, who cherished him dearly from the moment they knew he was on his way. He is also remembered by his siblings, Liam Graison, Riley Jo, and Colton Lynn Bays, who will carry the memory of their little brother within them always.

The embrace of family surrounds him, including his proud grandparents, Justin and Ellen Shoemaker as well as Josh Bays and Ann Fribley, who looked forward to showering Kaycen with love that was never fully realized. In addition, many aunts, uncles, and extended family members hold Kaycen's memory close.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Korbyn Bays, and great grandmothers, Debbie Shoemaker and Carolyn Harrell, who are welcoming him with open arms in a peaceful, eternal embrace.
