Kathy Henwood

March 27, 1974 — March 28, 2024

Syracuse

Kathy Henwood, a lifetime resident of Syracuse, passed away at the Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

She was born in Goshen, IN on March 27, 1974. She was the daughter of LeRoy "Buck" and Judy (Ray) Henwood - both who have preceded her in passing. She was a graduate of Wawasee High School and later attended Indiana-Purdue University of Fort Wayne where she studied Criminal Justice.

Throughout her life, Kathy exemplified resilience and determination. With more than 21 years of service at DaLite Screen in Warsaw, where she spent many years serving last as a Supervisor of Shipping, Kathy showcased her hard work ethic there and is remembered for it.

Outside of work and academics, Kathy's true joys were rooted in her family and her hobbies. Described as a fierce protector of her loved ones, she held steadfastly to her independence while embracing a sarcastic sense of humor. In her spare time, she enjoyed online gaming, particularly in the world of Dragon Realms. Through this passion, she not only found enjoyment but also cultivated lasting friendships. Her character-player was truly known by others across the US.

Kathy is survived by her four sons: Jon (Tatum Thompson) Walker of Bourbon, Aaron Walker of Syracuse, Cody (Emily Pelikant) Walker of Syracuse, and Dillion Walker of Syracuse; two grandchildren; as well as three siblings: Karri Henwood, Bobbi Worboys, and Steven "Sonny" Henwood. She was preceded in passing by her parents: Buck and Judy Henwood.
