KATHRYN E. JEHNSEN, 85, of Syracuse died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at her residence. She was born on February 27, 1922 in Lebanon, PA to John F. & Anna (Strohman) Brightbill.

She graduated in 1940 from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, PA and attended Bethany Seminary in Chicago, IL. She was married on May 30, 1942 in Lebanon, PA to Ernest R. Jehnsen Sr. who preceded her in death on January 26, 1995.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband as a pastor's wife serving several churches over the years. She moved to the Syracuse area 25 years ago from Nebraska. She was a member of the North Webster Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by:
1 Daughter - Mrs. Garry (Marie) Tom of Syracuse
1 Son - David (wife, Debra) Jehnsen of Galena, OH
7 Grand & 19 Gt. Grandchildren
2 Sisters - Mrs. Dean (Julia) Faringer of Denver, CO & Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Smith of Trotwood, OH

She was preceded by her parents, husband, 2 sons- John Robert Jehnsen & Ernest R. Jehnsen Jr., 1 brother - Marlin Brightbill

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Olive Cemetery, Wakarusa, IN. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the North Webster Church of the Brethren, CR 600N, North Webster, IN with Rev. Robert Wyman of the church officiating.
