Judith Louise Clampitt, of Winona Lake, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78. Born on May 6, 1947, in Wabash County, she was the daughter of Walter and Evelyn Shireman (Blair). Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and caring nature touched the lives of many.
After graduating from North Manchester High School in 1965, Judy served as the manager in the deli department at Owen’s Grocery. She spent most of her career at RR Donnelley, where she worked as a material handler until retirement. Her work ethic and dedication were evident in all aspects of her life.
Judy married Chester Clampitt Jr. on December 31, 1990. Together, they created many memories before his passing on February 14, 2016. The two enjoyed Nascar, frequently visiting many racetracks. They also proudly cheered for Duke basketball and the Green Bay Packers.
Judy was known for her sweet tooth and her love for Coca Cola. She also has a love for shopping and would often spend her Sundays driving through car dealerships with her husband. Knowing how to enjoy life, she loved travelling and sunbathing, swinging on her swing, and always took great pride in her appearance. Most of all, Judy loved her family and cherished the moments spent with her children and grandchildren.
