Joseph M. Cumbo, of Warsaw and formerly Chicago, passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on October 11, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Joseph and Laura Cumbo (Arizzi). Joseph lived a life marked by his creativity and a profound love for his family.

After graduating from Bremen High School in Illinois, Joseph went on to serve his country honorably in the Air Force. Following his military service, he committed 40 years of diligent work to the Post Office, where he worked in maintenance until his retirement.

On April 15, 1972, Joseph married his wife, Nancy, who stood by his side through the many chapters of their life together. Known for his creative spirit, Joseph enjoyed making things with his hands and had a passion for fishing, both bringing him joy and relaxation throughout the years.

Joseph's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughters, Laura Livesey and Julie Sluis; his son Joseph "Joey" (Christina) Cumbo; and his grandchildren, Margaret and Samantha Livesey, Kaylee Redeker (John), Bailey Sluis (Jenna Solcani), Bryce Sluis (Jenna Kilgore), Brody (Addy Tipsord), Sluis and Lydia and Maximus Cumbo; and his great-grandchildren, Bentley Sluis, Kaveri Redeker, Keaton Redeker, and Kylan Redeker. Additionally, Joseph is remembered fondly by many brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who all carry forward his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents.
