Jorie D. Webster, of Winona Lake, age 78, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 in Winona Lake, Indiana. She was born on January 16, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana to Boag and Mary Ellen (Robinson) Johnson. Jorie married James Webster on June 17, 1966.
A 1966 graduate of Warsaw High School, Jorie’s commitment to education and community was evident throughout her life. She devoted sixteen years as a teacher’s assistant at Northwood High School, where she supported countless students and contributed significantly to the school environment. Beyond her work in education, Jorie demonstrated entrepreneurial strength by owning and operating J&J Cleaning, a residential and commercial cleaning business that served the community with excellence for many years.
Jorie’s passions extended well beyond her professional life. She was an avid gardener who found joy and tranquility nurturing her plants. Her love for card games was well-known among family and friends, as she actively participated in various card clubs. Additionally, her talent and patience were evident in her cross-stitch work, a hobby she enjoyed for many years.
She is survived by her devoted husband, James Webster of Winona Lake, who shared in a life filled with love and partnership. Jorie is also survived by her children: Jeannine Webster of Fort Wayne, Jill Webster of Warsaw, and Jason (Kelly) Webster of Winona Lake. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren Natalie (Bradley) Stouder, Julia (Braxton) Foreman, Jaylen Warren, Caitlyn Webster, and Kellie Parker, as well as in her great-grandchildren Tatum Menefee, Saylem Stouder, Oden Stouder, Kalliope Stouder, and Khloe Stouder, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Jorie's bond with her family was further enriched by her sisters, Leslie Barna of Warsaw and Kristine (Larry) Ummel of Kimmell. Jorie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Boag Johnson and Mary Ellen (Robinson) Johnson, and her brothers, Greg Johnson and David Johnson, whose memories she cherished deeply.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1- 3pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A Life Celebration Service will follow the visitation at 3pm. Pastor Mike Beezley will officiate. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
