Jerry D. "Dew" Dewey (Moved to Saturday)

Jerry Duane “Dew” Dewey, 63, of Syracuse, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 14, 1958 in Niles, Mi to Robert & Nancy (Helwig) Dewey.

He grew up in Niles, MI, attended Niles High School, and moved to Syracuse 12 years ago. He was employed at Forest River in Goshen and was an independent drywall contractor. He enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, his dogs, chevy cars, and was quite the jokester.

He is survived by:

3 Daughters – Kayla (Jeffrey Allen) Dewey of Niles, Nancy (JR Henderson) Dewey of Niles, and Tonya Martinez of Niles

Son – Justin (Jennifer Burdick) Dewey of Niles

Life partner – Deb Burkholder of Syracuse

10 Grandchildren

Mother – Nancy Atkinson of Niles

Brother – Robert Dewey of Niles

He was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. A Celebration of life service will take place in Niles, MI at a later date.
