Jerry L. Bever, 78, of Warsaw, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on January 18, 1948, in Wabash, Indiana and raised in Manchester, Indiana. Jerry was the child of Frank and Olive (Leedy) Bever. Jerry married Karen Thompson on May 6, 1972 in Manchester, Indiana.

Jerry graduated from Manchester High School in 1966 before continuing his education at Manchester College, earning his bachelor's degree in 1970. His academic pursuits laid the foundation for a fruitful career starting as a Math Teacher at Manchester Junior High and eventually serving as a Senior Ink Specialist at Donnelley and Sons. Colleagues and friends admired his professionalism and expertise in the field.

Faith held a central place in Jerry’s life. As a longtime member of the Jehovah’s Witness congregation in Warsaw, he exemplified the values and steadfastness of his beliefs. His faith was a guiding light, offering comfort and strength throughout his life.

Jerry was a loving husband for 54 years, sharing a deep and enduring bond with his wife, Karen Bever of Warsaw. Their partnership was marked by mutual respect, love, and unwavering support. Together, they nurtured a family filled with warmth and care. He is also survived by his children: Jeremy Bever and his wife Leah of Warsaw, and Jenelle Overmyer, also of Warsaw. Jerry took great joy in his role as a grandfather to Avery Bever and Bella Overmyer, cherishing the special moments shared with his granddaughters. His legacy extends to his brothers, Tom Bever and his wife Ruth Ann of Fort Wayne; Mike Bever and his wife Diane of Forrest, Indiana; Dennis Bever of Claypool; and Steve Bever and his wife Michelle of Hastings, Nebraska. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, whose memory he honored throughout his life.

His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Jerry L. Bever’s life was a testament to dedication—to family, faith, and profession—and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to cross his path.
