Jean A. Davis, 86, of North Webster, IN passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her son’s residence in Leesburg. She was born on April 8, 1924 in Elkhart, IN to Clarence E. and Florence N. (Hill) Richwine.
She lived most of her life in Kosciusko and Noble Counties and graduated in 1941 from North Webster High School. She was married on December 24, 1941 in Warsaw, IN to Raymond Fifer who preceded her in death. On November 14, 1964 in Clinton, VA she married Thomas Davis who preceded her in 1988. She retired in May 1995 from Essex Wire in Ligonier, IN after 30 years of service.
She is survived by:
3 Daughters – Linda Smith of Portland OR; Mrs. H. David (Carol) Garber of Warsaw & Sue Ellen Barr of Columbus, OH
1 Son – Kenneth (wife, Cheryl) Fifer of Leesburg
13 Grand, 21 Gt. Grand & 8 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
2 Cousins & 7 Nieces & Nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, grandson – Richard Fifer, 2 sisters – Helen Warble & Imogene Menzie, 3 brothers – Gerald, Clarence Jr., & Harold Richwine, & sister-in-law – Jane Richwine.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St. Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Smitley of North Webster United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
