Jason P. Halsey, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 51. Born on September 29, 1974, in Warsaw, Indiana, he was the son of Raymond and Gayle Halsey (Weise).

Throughout his life, Jason was well-known for his funny jokes and ability to tell it like it is, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family. He always had a love for finding a good deal and enjoyed "wheeling and dealing". He bought and resold collectibles such as various toys, coins, G.I. Joes, and Hot Wheels. Jason was truly a jack of all trades. Most of all, Jason loved his family and enjoyed staying at home with his kids.

He is survived by his children, Jacob (Tori) Schweitzberger, Abigayle (Noah) Height, and Jayse Height; and grandchildren: Jacob Schweitzberger II, Lylliah Schweitzberger, Dyllen Cleveland, and Grayson Groves. He is further survived by his father, Raymond (Tuesday) Halsey, along with his siblings Jamie (Shadd) Meiser, Jodi (Gary) Wenglikowski, Sara (Matt) Halsey, and Raymond J. Halsey. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gayle Halsey (Weise), and his grandson, Daxten Cleveland.
