Janice Lynn Torbet

Janice Lynn Torbet, 68, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1952 in Watseka, IL to Glen & Annabelle (Wilson) Schladenhauffen.

She grew up in Watseka, graduated from Watseka High School, and moved to the Syracuse area in 1987 from Illinois. She was a homemaker and worked at Parker Hannifin (formerly Syracuse Rubber Company) in Syracuse many years.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Ericka (Brad Perry) Norris of Syracuse

Son – Aaron (Erin Siefert) Torbet of Syracuse

5 Grandchildren – Kylie (Nick) Price, Blake Norris, Olivia Torbet, Brayden Torbet, and Makaylah Torbet

Sister – Diane Cross of Watseka, IL

Brother – Tim (Kelly) Schladenhauffen of Watseka, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister – Glenda Bohlmann.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor John B. Lowe officiating. Graveside burial services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka, IL.
