Jamie E. Wilhelm, age 63, of Warsaw, dedicated mechanic and passionate drag racing enthusiast, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on March 29, 1963, in Elwood, Indiana to Arnold and Kay (Jones) Wilhelm.
Throughout his many years at Red Gold, Jamie served as a valued mechanic, where his expertise and work ethic contributed significantly to the smooth operation of the mechanical department. His colleagues remember him not only for his technical prowess but also for his reliability and genuine nature.
Jamie’s enthusiasm extended beyond his professional work into his personal interests. He thoroughly enjoyed working on drag cars and participating in drag racing, pursuits that brought him great joy and connected him with a community of fellow racing aficionados. This passion reflected his spirited approach to life, always eager to engage with challenges and celebrate the thrill of speed.
Jamie is survived by his loving daughter, Ashley Wilhelm of Elkhart, and his sons, Cody Wilhelm of Anderson and Ben Taylor. He shared a significant bond with his partner, Michelle Hunter of Anderson and brother, Benji Wilhelm of Anderson, Indiana. Additionally, Jamie's circle included grandsons, Ashtin Martin of Alexandria and Colt Baldwin of Frankton, who were important parts of his life and cherished his friendship. His passing also marks a somber moment for his family, as he was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother Greg Wilhelm and sister-in-law Anita Lamb. Their memories, alongside Jamie’s, weave a profound legacy of family bonds and enduring love.
