James W. Winger

James William Winger, of Warsaw,, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne at the age of 83. He was born on April 4, 1943, in Mishawaka, the son of Frank and Dorothy Winger (Dicus).

Jim married Nancy Cramer on September 5, 1964. Together they raised two children and created many wonderful memories with friends and family along the way. They were married 61 years until Nancy's passing in January 2026.

Jim was hardworking and dedicated. For over four decades, he worked as an operator for RR Donnelley until his retirement in 2005.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jim loved his family. He was a man of few words but would always tell his family how much they meant to him. Jim had many interests in life . After his retirement, he found joy in woodworking, and spending countless hours crafting in his workshop. He enjoyed watching his favorite shows from westerns to documentaries almost daily. Jim also took great pride in his landscaping and garden spending a lot of time and effort into keeping a nice well kept yard. He was an avid collector, collecting many different things over the years and when he found something he liked he never held back. He will be missed greatly.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Craig) Coyle of Leesburg; and his grandsons, Max (Kelsey) Coyle of Claypool, Eric Coyle of Winona Lake, and Jackson Coyle of Warsaw, along with his great-granddaughters RaeLynne Coyle and Riley Coyle of Claypool. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy; his son, Timothy; and his siblings, Frank Winger Jr. and Doris Fox.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Jim. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN 46580. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. His family kindly requests that donations be directed to: Cardinal Services, Inc.
