Irene Van Zile-Zimmerman, age 85, of Warsaw, peacefully passed away on September 20, 2025 at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. She was born to Ernest and Ellen Keegan in Boston, Massachusetts on September 18, 1940. She married her husband Clarence Zimmerman on October 16, 1999. She graduated from Matigon High School in 1958.

Irene dedicated several years employed at Harrison Airforce Base before retiring from the United Telephone Company.

She enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including sewing, reading, and watching her favorite television shows such as "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago PD." Irene found joy in Hallmark movies, often sharing them with family during cherished gatherings. Additionally, she took immense pride in her Irish heritage, celebrating her roots with warmth and love.

A woman of deep faith, Irene was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was actively involved in the Rosary Altar Society and a proud member of the Knight of Columbus Auxiliary.

Irene held her family close to her heart, and the bond she shared with them was profound. She is survived by her daughter Michele Myers and her beloved grandchildren: Brianna (Matt) Lerch, Taylor Myers, and Alexis Myers. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Rylynn Scott, Jack Lerch, and Brayden Scott. Each moment spent with them was a treasure, and she reveled in their achievements and happiness.

Irene is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Gail (Les) Guimond, John Keegan, and Joseph Keegan, who will always cherish the memories they shared with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Richard Van Zile, and her second husband, Clarence Zimmerman.

Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, IN 46580. Irene's family will be grieving privately with a mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Clarence at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
