Homer Graber

Homer Graber, 73, of North Webster, IN died at 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his residence following a six month illness. He was born on December 27, 1935 in Rolette, North Dakota to William J. & Nora (Slaubaugh) Graber.

He graduated in 1955 from Etna Green High School and moved to the North Webster area in 1960 from there. He retired in 2008 from Pacemaker Buildings in North Webster. In his early years he drove dairy and bread truck routes in the Kosciusko County area. He was a local businessman in North Webster for many years and farmed. He also formerly drove a semi trailer for Indiana Truss Company.

He attended both the North Webster Church of God & North Webster Church of the Brethren, where he was formerly part of the church choir and sang in several quartets. He enjoyed singing gospel music with his family. He was a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by:
2 Sisters - Mrs. Ervin (Margaret) Miller of Goshen, IN & Mrs. Royce (Elva) Farmwald of Goshen;
7 Brothers - Joseph (wife, Ruth) Graber of Spooner, WI; Dr. Benjamin (wife, Norma) Graber of Waterloo, IN; Clarence (wife, Grace) Graber of Elkhart, IN; Glen (wife, Ruth) Graber of Spooner, WI; Allen (wife, Ruth Ann) Graber of North Webster; Carl (wife, Candace) Graber of Golden, CO; & Arden (wife, Evidene) Graber of Etna Green, IN;
Step Brother - Kenneth Baugher of Warsaw;
Foster Son - Will Darr of Syracuse;
Several Nieces & Nephews

He was preceded by his parents, infant daughters - Lisa & Sonja Graber, & 1 brother - Lloyd Graber.

Visitation will from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009 in the North Webster Church of God with Pastor Bob Wyman & Pastor Jeff Boyer of the churches officiating. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to Goshen Care at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 723, Goshen, IN 46526. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
