Gene F. Ladd

Gene F. Ladd, 79, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:42 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice House in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on September 2, 1939 in Warsaw, IN to Paul E. & Mary (Meloy) Ladd.

He graduated from North Webster High School and was a United States Marine Corps veterans. He was a lifetime North Webster area resident and made his career as a self-employed contractor.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

He is survived by:

2 Daughters – Dena (Brad) Chaney & Nancy (Heather) Ladd both of North Webster

Son – Jason Ladd of North Webster

Grandson – Hugh Spencer Ladd

Sister – Sharon Zieske of Billings, MT

Brother - Phil (Carol) Ladd of Kimmell

Longtime Companion – Sara Mills of North Webster

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery with military rites by the North Webster American Legion.
