Franklin A. LaRue, affectionately known as Frank, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Warsaw on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the age of 66. He was born on October 20, 1956, in the same city he called home, to Robert and Mary (Abbott) LaRue. Frank led a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

After completing his high school education, Frank embarked on a fulfilling career at Dalton Foundries. He dedicated years of hard work to the company before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and dedication. Throughout his life, Frank remained connected to his roots and proudly served his country both as part of the 101st Airborne for the U.S. Army for four years and the Army National Guard for an additional 14 years. His military service showcased his bravery, resilience, and dedication to protecting the values and freedoms he held dear.

Frank will forever be remembered for his down-to-earth nature and no-nonsense attitude towards life. True to his name, he lived up to it by consistently being "frank" with others. Despite this straightforward demeanor, he had a quiet way of sharing his true emotions with those closest to him.

One of Frank's favorite pastimes was enjoying a good meal, relishing every bite with genuine appreciation. Additionally, Frank took solace in listening to the Bible on his phone app and watching Christian ministries on TV; Frank's deep sense of faith was evident through his membership at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. Western movies were also a cherished pastime for him. In days gone by when he had more energy and vigor, Frank found pleasure in cutting wood with his hand tools. Most importantly, his family always came first in his heart and he often set aside everything else to ensure their happiness.

Frank is survived by his son, Walter (Stephanie Smith) LaRue; grandchildren, Sidney and Anthony LaRue, as well as Drew Guy, Gabriel, Joshua, Zachariah, and Benjamin Smith; siblings, Robert (Kum) LaRue, Dawn (Jesse) Sanchez, Kathleen (James Canterbury) Ferris, and Walter "Wally" LaRue along with several nieces and nephews and beloved pets who provided endless companionship throughout the years: Angel his dog and Kat the cat. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Beverly in 2014; son, Anthony in 2002; and siblings Kim LaRue and Wesley LaRue.

Titus Funeral Home - Warsaw, 2000 Sheridan Street, is entrusted with Frank’s care. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home for a visitation on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
