Frances Zahn

Frances Lorraine Laszlo Zahn, 98, was joyfully gathered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 14, 2025, joining her beloved Ben in the Glory and Peace of Heaven.

Fran was born on January 24,1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Alexander and Elizabeth Chavas Laszlo. She graduated from Pinkney, Michigan high school class of 1944. On October 8, 1948, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Fran married the love of her life and loving husband, Benjamin John Zahn Jr. who proceeded her in death on May 24, 1997. She was also proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Virginia Zahn.

Fran is survived by her son Benjamin “John” (Barbara) Zahn III, Grass Lake, Michigan; her daughter Sandra (David) Doctor, Warsaw, Indiana; her three grandchildren Benjamin “BJ” Zahn IV, Heather Zahn, and Lauren Doctor (Paul) Slagle; her four great grandchildren Alyssa Howell (Colin) Jones, Austin Amarro, Kendall Slagle and Emma Slagle; and her sister Victoria Clark, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In her younger years, Fran was a proficient singer who enjoyed performing and loved to roller-dance. She spent her adult life as a homemaker who was all about love; the love of her Lord, the love of her family, and the love of her friends. Fran was loyal and steadfast, she always took time to listen to anyone who needed a truly caring ear. Fran was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Warsaw. She was known to all as a prayer warrior, if you needed prayer, Fran was the first person to be called. Fran will be dearly missed by all her family and friends who loved her.

Arrangements are entrusted to Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8056 East 500 North, North Webster, IN. A private family burial will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
