Eric Eby

Eric Eby, age 66, of Kimmell, passed away on November 29, 2024 at Parkview Randallia Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1958 in Fort Wayne, IN to Eugene and Helen (Lamb) Eby. He graduated from West Noble High School in 1977.

Eric worked as a mechanic at Ryder in Kendallville for many years and retired in 2019. Those who worked alongside him can attest to his remarkable ability to fix anything that came his way. 

His strong work ethic and devotion to family were the cornerstones of his character. He was a man of faith.

Eric's personal interests brought him immense joy. He was an avid ice fisherman and outdoorsman. Eric was also a passionate fan of NASCAR, particularly the legendary Dale Earnhardt. You could also catch Eric golfing as it was another pastime that he enjoyed.

He leaves behind cherished family members, including his son, Josh Eby of Warsaw, and his beloved grandchildren, Wyle and Foster Eby. Along with his siblings, Jeff (Kathy) Eby of Fort Wayne and Rick Eby of North Webster, and the life partner who stood by his side, Colleen McDonald of Syracuse.

Eric is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service for Eric will be held on December 18, 2024, at Thorn Cemetery in Albion, Indiana, where he will be laid to rest at 11:00 AM. Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8056 E. 500 N. North Webster, IN are entrusted with caring for the family.
