Emma M. "Emily" Anway

Emma Marilyn “Emily” Anway, 73, of Syracuse, IN (formerly of Goshen, IN) passed away at 1:55 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Goshen Hospital. She was born on November 30, 1947 in Sturgis, MI to Edward & Maryann (Miller) Schrock.

She attended LaGrange Public Schools and lived most of her life in the LaGrange / Elkhart County area except 12 years in Garland, TX. She retired from Homecrest Cabinetry in Goshen after several years and formerly worked at Oceanic Systems in Texas.

She formerly attended New Hope Baptist Church in Bristol and was a member of Red Hat Society in Elkhart.

She is survived by:

4 Daughters – Mary Stanley of Frisco TX, Tammy (Mark Reed) Moore of Syracuse, Jeannie (Lisa Hysell) Mast of Mishawaka, and Liza (Shawn) Ratliff of Goshen

2 Sons – Grant (Heidi) Mast of Milford & Lloyd Mast Jr. of Goshen

10 Grand & 9 Gt. Grandchildren

Brother – Joseph Schrock of Texas

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter – Kylar Mast, gt. granddaughter – Autumn Mast, sister – Anna Rhodes, 5 brothers – Ruben, Tobie, Edward, Moses, and John Schrock.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday June 14, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
