Ellowene “Ellie” Myers was born on August 19, 1948 in Lagrange to Harold and Dorothy (Hoffert) Waldron. She was known to most as Ellie. She passed away on December 19, 2025 at 6:47 AM in Goshen Hospital.
Ellie learned the value of hard work at an early age, a trait that would serve her well throughout her life. She was known for her time spent at ChoreTimeBrock, Kimble Glass, and Tranter Graphics.
She graduated from Topeka High School. Her passions extended beyond her career; Ellie was a fervent patriot and actively involved in the Syracuse VFH and the American Legion. She would proudly speak about her youngest daughter that retired from the navy. She was fiercely independent. She also liked to try her luck at the casino and loved diamond art. She resided at her eldest daughter’s residence in her own apartment and loved the beautiful flower beds and gardening and canning with her oldest daughter.
Ellie was mother to her two daughters, Monica (Everet) Miller and Michelle (Patrick) Swindle. She cherished her family, which also included her grandchildren: Marlene (Charles) white, Matthew (Tierra) miller, Allen Miller, Mark Miller, jessica miller and Nate Swindle, along with seven great-grandchildren. Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Waldron, her sister Donna Waldron, as well as two infant twin great grand-daughters.
A celebration of life is planned at her daughter's residence at 8487 N 425 W, Milford, In 46542 on January 3rd 2026 from 1pm to 6pm.
