Elke Woxland, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully just before 9:00pm at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the age of 74.
Born in Schrieshiem, Germany on September 11, 1947, she was the daughter of Max Purschke and Margareta Franz. Elke was very loving, caring, and a social butterfly, never meeting a stranger. She adored her family and was the best mom. Being the crafty women she was, she had a passion for crocheting and loved ceramics. She also enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. Elke and Stanley loved to travel, especially to Europe where most of her family was. Together, they loved spending time together out on the boat on Chapman Lake. She was truly one of a kind.
Along with her husband Stanley, Elke is survived by her children Diane Woxland and Katherine (Christopher) Osborn; step children, Jeanette (John) Jacobson, John (Candi) Woxland, and James (Tina) Woxland; grandchildren, Conrad, Matthew, Erik, Andrew, Jack, Taylor, and Katelin; great grandson, Declan; sister, Ute Berg; and brothers, Max and Roland Purschke. She is further survived by many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
