Elaine Marie Enders-Long, 71, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born on September 26, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Eugene and Evelyn Enders. She went on to graduate from Warsaw High School in 1971. She married Tom Long on March 21, 1996 in Las Vegas.
Elaine furthered her education at Ivy Tech and Goshen College, obtaining her bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Nursing. Her dedication to learning left a lasting impression on everyone around her. She worked for 30 years at R.R. Donnelly before working as a nurse at Goshen Hospital and Grace Village Healthcare.
Elaine will be remembered for her vibrant personality and zest for life. She adored traveling to Las Vegas and cherished her moments at the casinos. An avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, she enjoyed cheering for her team from home and at the stadium alongside special friends Terry and Denny. Spending quality time with her beloved cats, Bennie and Trigger, brought her immense joy. She could also be found watching her favorite tv shows at home such as Days Of Our Lives.
Elaine took great pleasure in activities that included reading, hiking, and bicycling. She found fulfillment in tending to her garden and especially savored the joy of making her grandma’s Polish Christmas cookies with her sister and her nieces
She is survived by her loving husband Tommy Joe Long. Together, they created a nurturing family that included stepchildren Tracy (Brent) Reinholt, Troy (Bonnie) Long, and Tad (Kim) Long. Elaine celebrated the joys of family life with her eight grandchildren: Brody (Hannah) Reinholt, Steven (Izzy) Reinholt, Brandon (Tressa) Reinholt, Garrett Reinholt, Taylor Long, Cassidy (Nolan) Luther, Carson Long, and Blake Bixler. Additionally, she was blessed with seven great-grandchildren.
She dearly loved her brothers, Ed (Tammy) Enders and Elliott Enders, and her sisters Liz(David) Kintzel and Edie Enders, She cherished the special bond with her nieces and nephew Tara Smith, Kelley Kinsey, Shanna Navarro, Angela (Enders) Maldonado, and Erik Enders.
Elaine's Life Celebration Visitation will be held on September 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street Warsaw, Indiana. Pastor Glenn Hall of Harvest Community Church will lead the service, followed by a procession to Oakwood Cemetery where Elaine will be laid to rest.
