Professionally, Ed worked at Miller and Sons Lumber in Silver Lake and at the sawmill in Packerton for many years before retirement. Ed married Maria Bradley on January 14, 1990. With a love for the outdoors, Ed enjoyed various hobbies and interests such as fishing, hunting, trapping, and working on cars. Ed took his niece, Elizabeth, fishing when she was a little girl just as he did with her mother, Natasha. They continued fishing together for several years. He had a deep appreciation for nature and spent countless hours walking in the woods. Ed was also known for his craftmanship and enjoyed making wind chimes and other wooden crafts. He would also cut hundreds of loads of wood for himself and others. In his spare time, Ed also enjoyed antiquing and garage sales.
One of Ed's greatest joys was spending time with his pug companion, Bandit. Their bond brought him immeasurable happiness and created cherished memories.
