Doris E. Yoder

Doris E. Yoder, age 92, of Winona Lake, passed away on August 10, 2026 at Grace Village Retirement Community. She was born on March 11, 1934 to Loften and Wilma (Gay) Johnson in Warsaw, Indiana. She married her husband, Leslie Yoder, on February 7, 1954.

Doris was employed at several Warsaw businesses after her kids were grown. Her most enjoyable work was assisting her husband, Les, in the ownership and operation of Yoder's Meat Market.

Doris was a Christ-follower, attended and was a member of Warsaw First Brethren Church of Warsaw. She had many life-long friends that she loved from her church family.

In retirement, Doris and Les lived in Palmetto, FL for several years before returning to the Warsaw area.

Doris was very creative and enjoyed hobbies of painting, sewing, crocheting, and crafting. She enjoyed using her hobbies to help others.

She loved her morning coffee and kept her mind sharp with hours of games, computer puzzles, and cryptograms. It was unusual to not find the Game Show Network on the TV in the evening.

She is survived by her children Rodney (Lola) Yoder of Leesburg, Daniel (Starr) Yoder of Ivor, VA, Douglas Yoder of Warsaw, son-in-law Jay Becker of Wolcottville, IN, and sister Mary Ellen Swope of Sarasota, FL. She had 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leslie Yoder and daughter Diane Becker.

A visitation for Doris will be held on August 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home - Warsaw, located at 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, IN 46580. A private, family graveside gathering will occur at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Grace Village Assisted Living, 337 Grace Village Dr, Winona Lake, IN, in honor of Doris.
