Donna J. Hillery

Donna J. Hillery, 81 of Milford, IN passed away at 1:57 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Harold C. & Cloye E. (Tusing) Stone.

She graduated from Nappanee High School and was a lifetime Nappanee / Milford area resident. She was married on December 8, 1979 in Nappanee, IN to David Leroy “Dave” Hillery who preceded her on December 1, 2010. She retired in 1998 as a clerk at Sprint Corporation after 32 years of service.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Milford.

She is survived by:

3 Daughters – Deb Smith, Lesia VanLue, and Amiee (Steve) Bowler all of Milford

Son -Gene (Tanya) Tyler of Milford

8 Grand, 11 Gt. Grand, and 2 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Ila Miller of Nappanee

Brother – Dale (Yoshiko) Stone of Oceanside, CA

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter – Cheyenne VanLue, and 2 sons in law – Don Smith & Dan VanLue.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, In. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
