Diane (Miller) Ryan, of Claypool, passed away peacefully on her 42nd wedding anniversary, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Warsaw Meadows at the age of 68. Born on March 25, 1958, in Knox, Indiana, she was the daughter of James R. and Dorla J. (Waggoner) Miller. Diane was a loving and dedicated person who touched many lives both personally and professionally.

Diane graduated from Warsaw High School in 1976 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University in 1982. She devoted her career to caring for the most vulnerable, working as a neonatal nurse at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis until her retirement. Her compassion and expertise provided comfort and hope for countless families during some of their most challenging moments.

On May 5, 1984, Diane married Kevin Ryan, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing in August of 2019. Together, they built a life marked by love and partnership.

Beyond her professional achievements, Diane was known for her warm spirit and many interests. She could often be found reading romance novels, especially those by Danielle Steel, or enjoying Hallmark movies and episodes of "Murder, She Wrote." Faith was important to Diane as she attended Lakeland Grace Brethren Church for many years. Diane also enjoyed going camping and traveling, and she delighted in the challenge of puzzles.

She is survived by her siblings Pamela Vetor, James R. Miller Jr. (Karen), and David P. Miller (Penny), as well as her nieces and nephews Jason Vetor, JD Miller, Autumn Miller, and Aly Miller. Her loving family circle also included her great niece and great nephew, Simon Vetor and Silvia P. Vetor. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Ryan and her parents, James and Dorla Miller.
