Dennis M. (Uncle Mike) Metz, 58, of Syracuse died on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1950 in Kokomo, IN to Oscar F. & Patricia L. (Dutton) Metz.
He graduated in 1968 from Carroll High School in Flora, IN. He moved to Syracuse in 2004 from Burlington, IN and formerly worked for Rhoads Construction in Syracuse for a few years. He was an avid fisherman and attended the Milford Christian Church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN with Kevin Rhoads of the Red Zone Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
