Dennis R. Cole, age 67, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 22, 2025 in Syracuse, Indiana. He was born on December 19, 1958 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The parents of Dennis were Raymond and Beatrice "Maybell" (Towers) Cole. He married Kathy Mace on August 26, 1978 in Ligonier, Indiana.

Dennis graduated from West Noble High School in 1977, a milestone that marked the beginning of a journey defined by hard work and dedication. He became an integral part of the Syracuse community, serving as Trustee at the Eagles for many years, where he was known for his leadership and generosity. His commitment to youth was evident through his roles as a Little League Coach and a Boy Scout Leader, inspiring countless children and leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

An avid outdoorsman, Dennis had a profound love for fishing and enjoyed riding four-wheelers and snowmobiles. His enthusiasm for sports was equally passionate; he was a loyal fan of the Bears and Notre Dame, sharing that passion with family and friends. His adventurous spirit and zest for life were further expressed through his involvement in the band Savage, where he shared his love for music with others.

Dennis is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Cole of Syracuse, and his two sons, Jeremy Cole and Miles Cole, both of Syracuse. He found immense joy in the laughter and love of his grandchildren – Jadyn, Breonna, Axl, Madison, and Khloee – and the proud title of great-grandfather to Malachi Cole. He was raised alongside his adopted brother, James Cole. Dennis is also survived by his brother-in-law, Robert (Bev) Mace, and his mother-in-law, Mary Mace. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, John Mace, whose memories are cherished by those who loved him.

The family would like to extend their extra special thanks to Goshen Hospice for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. Dennis R. Cole will be remembered not only for his accomplishments and passions but also for the love and warmth he shared with everyone he met.
