Darrell Ray Custer

Darrell Ray Custer, 73, of Milford, IN passed away at 8:41 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1947 in Goshen, IN to Stanley Max & Phyllis Maxcine (Evans) Custer.

He was a lifetime Milford area resident, graduated from Milford High School, and attended Manchester College in Manchester, IN. He was married on May 28, 1977 in Milford, IN to Mabel Ana Rodriquez who survives. He was the owner / operator of Darrell Custer Excavating in Milford for many years and formerly worked for Stanly Custer & Sons Excavating in Milford.

He was a member of the Milford Christian Church.

Wife – Mabel Custer of Milford

2 Sons – Clint Custer of Milford & Andrew (Alyssa) Custer of Syracuse

2 Brothers - Dale Gene (Peg) Custer of Milford & Dwight John “Ike” Custer of Le High Acres, FL

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Christian Church of Milford, 201 N. Henry St., Milford, IN with Pastor Russ Moe officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.
