Daniel "Dan" J. Richards

Daniel “Big Dan” Richards, age 61, passed on July 16, 2024, in Columbia City, IN. Dan is survived by his wife, Monica; daughters, Amber, Jessica, and Nicole; and grandchildren, Seth, David, Rilee, Adrian, Chevy, Ethan, Collyn, Ian, and Jack. Also, his father, Roger; brother, Doug; and sister, Debra. He was preceded in death by his brother, David and mother, Sharon. He was born in Columbia City to Roger and Sharon Richards.

Dan spent his younger years working for the family well drilling business and spent time as a volunteer firefighter before retiring from Salesman and Son Trucking. When he was not working, Dan loved racing and spending time with family.

Dan was loved and respected by everyone around him. He lived for his grandchildren, whom he loved very much. He passed away at home surrounded by his family and friends. Dan will be missed and will forever be in the hearts and minds of all who loved him.
