Dana Lynn Stahly, 81, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 12:22 a.m. on July 6, 2026 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN after a brave battle with cancer. She will be remembered as the heart of the family, whose home was always a place for family and friends to gather, eat, drink, and laugh.

Born on July 18, 1944 to parents, Glenn and Alldene Wagner, Dana was the youngest of their three children and graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1962. Though known for her spirited and adventurous side as a young woman, Dana’s life became defined by her dedication to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She began supporting her community at her family’s Dairy Queen before becoming a long-time member of Tri-Kappa. Later, Dana and her companion, Dr. Deny McCormack, founded The Spectacle Shoppe, creating a legacy that continues to serve the community today.

Dana found great joy in bringing people together. Summers at Lake Tippy were filled with laughs, boat rides, floats in the water, game nights, and home-cooked meals prepared for family and friends. No "Duke Tumatoe" party was complete without Dana's signature dance, "The Stahly Shuffle," a tradition that family and friends still recreate on the dance floor.

During the winter months, she looked forward to escaping to Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed the warmth and sunshine, walks on the beach, welcoming and entertaining visitors, dining out at Nervous Nellies, Matanza’s, and The Cottage, and making lasting memories with those fortunate enough to have spent time with her.

Each spring, Dana looked forward to picking out and planting flowers in her pristine flower beds—weeds beware. She also loved playing marbles, dominos, and bingo and trying her luck on the slots during getaways to the casino. Never missing the opportunity to send a card for a birthday, anniversary, celebration, or time of sympathy, she was always thinking about the needs of others.

More than anything, Dana cherished her family. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, cared for, and at home. Her warmth, patience, generosity, grit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved never ceased to amaze her family and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Jason Stahly; daughter, Shelly (Mark) Aker; four grandchildren Jena (Chris) Fahlbush, Taylor (Ryan) Price, Kiera (Michael) Nisle, and Tyler Stahly; five great grandchildren; and her brother, Bob Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her long-time companion, Dr. Deny McCormack, her sister, Glendys Moosbrugger; and her son, Mike Stahly.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following on Saturday, July 11 at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN 46580. Long-time family friend, Pastor Dereck Fields, will be officiating the service. Dana will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Dana and her family were deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by the nurses, physicians, chaplains, and caregivers at Millers Merry Manor of Warsaw and Goshen Health during the last seven months of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Center for Cancer Care.
