Cynthia M. Jones

Cynthia M. Jones, age 75, of Logansport, a respected business owner and dedicated community member, passed away on June 7, 2026, in Warsaw, Indiana. She was born on October 9, 1950, in Plymouth, Indiana to Ernest Ralph and Lillie Mae (Isom) Cochran.

For many years, Cynthia was the owner of Scheuer Publications, where her leadership and dedication left a lasting impact. Beyond her professional achievements, she enriched her community through an array of memberships and volunteer efforts that reflected her diverse interests and steadfast commitment to service.

Cynthia was a valued member of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, where her faith and fellowship brought comfort and strength to many. She was deeply involved with several organizations within the locksmithing community, including the Northern Indiana Locksmiths of America, the National Safeman's Organization, the Association of Locksmith of America, and contributed to the National Locksmith: Locksmith Ledger. Her engagement in these fields showed her passion for both the craft and its ongoing development.

Her commitment to youth and heritage was evident in her role as Cub Scout Master for Pack 3767 with the District Cub Scout Council. She also dedicated significant time to historical and genealogical pursuits as a member of the Agnes Pryne Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Kosciusko County Genealogical and Historical Societies, and as Corresponding Secretary for the Genealogical Society of Indiana. Notably, Cynthia served as the genealogist of the clan Cochran in North America, a role highlighting her devotion to family history and heritage preservation.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Angela Scheuer of New Orleans, LA. She was also proud to be the sister of Kenneth Cochran of Mount Vernon, IL; Cecil Cochran of Logansport; and Richard Cochran of San Antonio, TX. Her sisters, Cheryl James of Leesburg, FL; Margaret (Paul) Shue of Warsaw; and Donna Hostetler of Paw Paw, MI and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Ralph and Lillie Mae (Isom) Cochran; her son, John W. Scheuer; and her sister, Trula Hostetler.

Cynthia M. Jones’s life was a testimony to dedication, love, and community spirit. Her contributions and the warmth she extended to those around her will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Life Celebration Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
