Creassia Blackburn, age 48, of Mentone, passed away unexpectedly in her residence on September 16, 2026. She was born on November 3, 1977, to Davey and Sharon (Meade) Perkins in Warsaw. She married Walter Blackburn on January 13, 2001. She will be remembered as a woman of faith, service, and deep love for both her family and her community.
Creassia attended Lighthouse Christian Academy and went on to build a life marked by hard work and ministry. She worked as a truck driver and also served as Pastor at Early Apostolic Bible Training Center in Claypool, Indiana. Her life reflected her devotion to Jesus, and she was known for singing, serving the community, and sharing her faith with others. Those who knew her also knew her enjoyment of camping and fishing, her love of gospel music and horses, and her appreciation for target shooting. These interests, along with her warm spirit and steadfast faith, shaped a life that touched many people.
Above all, Creassia cherished her family. She is survived by her husband, Walter Blackburn, of Mentone, and her son, Zach (Tisha) Blackburn of Nappanee. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Makinsley Blackburn, Logan Lingofelter, and Caitlyn Lingofelter, who were part of the joy of her life. She is further survived by her brothers, Davey (Allitia) Perkins of Mitchell, Sam (Amy) Perkins of Mitchell and a dear loving sister-in-love Shellee Worley. May her family find comfort in the love she gave so freely and in the many memories they shared with her. She is preceded in death by her parents.
