Connie James

Connie James, passed away at the age of 64 at Majestic Care of West Allen in Fort Wayne, IN on December 22, 2023. She was born on January 14, 1959, in Shelbyville, Indiana to Dennis & Pauline (Smith) Tucker. Connie's life was filled with love, creativity, and a deep devotion to her family and friends.

As a homemaker, Connie dedicated her time and energy to creating a warm and loving environment for her loved ones. She took great pride in being a single mom and provider, demonstrating immense strength and resilience. Her unwavering love and dedication were evident in the love she shared with her children.

Connie had a vibrant personality that was both sweet and sassy. Her quick wit and infectious laughter brought delight to those fortunate enough to be in her presence. Her kind heart touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

One of Connie's passions was her love for butterflies. She found solace and beauty in their graceful flight and vibrant colors. She would often spend time in nature, marveling at the intricacies of these delicate creatures. The color purple also held a special place in Connie's heart, as it symbolized creativity, spirituality, and wisdom.

Not only was Connie an animal lover, but she was also very crafty and had a deep appreciation for art. Her creative spirit shone through her various artistic endeavors. Whether it was painting, knitting, or crafting unique pieces, she poured her heart into every project. Her works of art will forever be cherished as reminders of both her talent and passion.

Connie is survived by her daughter Jessica James of Syracuse and grandchildren; Alieyounna, Braylee, and Sebastian James. Also surviving are siblings, Doug (Dar) Tucker and Teresa Hidden.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings Dale, Dany, and Daryl Tucker.

A visitation will be held on January 5th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to come together during this time. A Life Celebration will immediately follow visitation starting at 1 PM with Pastor Perry Fouts. Burial will follow at Syracuse Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice, as Connie had a deep affinity for animals and their well-being.
