Charlotte JoAnne Gerke "Charley", age 2½, a vibrant and beloved young soul, passed away on April 11, 2026 at Parkview Kosciusko Hospital. She was born on October 25, 2023 to Scott and Katie (Longacre) Gerke. Charley filled the hearts of all who knew her with joy, adventure, and a bright, fearless spirit that was truly remarkable. She was known for her colorful personality and boundless energy, always eager to keep up with her older sisters and to explore the world around her. Charley’s radiant smile was a constant source of happiness that lifted the spirits of everyone she met.
Charley loved the simple pleasures that brought her comfort and delight. Her favorite snacks were fruit snacks and milk, which she savored with great enjoyment. She found joy and wonder in watching characters from her cherished shows like Pooh Bear, Trolls, and Paw Patrol.
She was full of life—adventurous and fearless, never having a bad day, and always on the go. Charley’s strong spirit and her innate kindness touched the lives of her family and all who had the privilege to know her.
Charley is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Katie Gerke of Pierceton; her dear siblings, Lucy, Emma, and Grace Gerke, who she so admired and sought to emulate. She is also survived by her grandparents, Daniel and MaryKay Longacre of Goshen and Larry and Sue Gerke of Pierceton, along with many devoted aunts and uncles who hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by many great-grandparents.
Family, friends, and all who loved Charley are invited to honor her memory at her Life Celebration Visitation which will be held at Titus Funeral Home-North Webster, located at 8056 E 500 N, North Webster, IN 46555, on April 17, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Rosary service beginning at 7:30 PM. The following day, April 18, 2026, a funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Norton officiating at 125 North Harrison Street, Warsaw, IN 46580, starting at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will follow to Mock Addition Cemetery in North Webster.
Her family kindly asks that friends and loved ones wear bright, cheerful colors to celebrate her vibrant and joyful spirit.
