Charles H. Pennington Sr.

Charles H. Pennington Sr., of Warsaw, was reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Judy, on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of 78, with his family by his side. He was born on April 28, 1947, in Jolo, West Virginia, the only son of Henry and Ethel Pennington (Daughrty).

Charles had a diverse career, starting with his work at Archer Foundry in Leesburg and later transitioning to driving a semi-truck. His strong work ethic was only matched by his devotion to his loved ones. On June 2, 1969, he married the love of his life, Judy Pennington (Allen), who preceded him in death in April of this year. Their bond was a testament to deep love and partnership, one that Charles cherished throughout his life.

Charles enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests, including working on cars, following the Chicago Bears and football, and spending quality time with his great-grandchildren. He enjoyed watching Bill Gaither Homecoming videos on TV and volunteering at the food pantry at God's Highway to Heaven with Judy.

Charles is survived by his children, Christy Woodcock of Warsaw; JR (Deb) Pennington of Warsaw; Tim (Jennifer) Pennington of Tennessee; Jake Pennington of Florida; and Johnny Pennington of Texas. He was also a proud grandfather to Breanna (Branson) Pant, Lori Kay Pennington, Azalea Hodgson, Josh (Morgan) Woodcock, Addison Pennington, Presley Pennington, and Jonathan Pennington, as well as a loving great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Cloye Stevens of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ethel Pennington (Daughtry), his wife, Judy, his grandchildren, Zachary Woodcock and Kyelee Pennington, and his sister, Betty Laughterback.
