Carole Carey

Carole Carey was born November 22, 1936, in Chicago to Gustav & Elizabeth Phillips Oberg. She passed away on September 3, 2025 in Warsaw. She dedicated much of her career to the field of Human Resources and also operated a Jewish Cemetery, contributing to her community in meaningful ways.

Carole was beloved by her family and will be missed deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Suellyn (Garry) Ernsberger of Cosby, TN. Carole cherished her role as a grandmother, leaving behind her granddaughter, Angelica ( Elias) Vaca of Bourbon and grandson, Michael (Jasmine) Carey of Osceola. Carole took great joy in her great-grandchildren: Elijah Vaca, Emma Vaca, Isaiah Vaca, Aidan Ford, Brenden Carey, Breonna Carey and Jayce Carey. She also had a special connection with her step-granddaughter Anne (Orlando) Cuahuizo of Warsaw and their son, Logan Cuahuizo

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Elizabeth Oberg, as well as her brothers, Richard Oberg and Kenneth Oberg.
