Brian Keith Smoker, of Tippecanoe Lake, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne at the age of 66. Born on October 7, 1959, in Warsaw, Indiana, Brian was the son of Robert and Helen (Everest) Smoker.

Known to many as “Smoke,” he was someone who truly loved life—especially when he was outside. Whether he was on the lake, in the woods, or just enjoying the fresh air, that’s where he was happiest.

Brian spent many years working as a polisher and later as a Cell Leader at Paragon Medical. On August 2, 1980, he married the love of his life, Julie. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and over four decades of memories. They raised two children, Nicole and Shawn, and Brian was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Cannon, Rennlee, Carson, Ben, Illyanna, and Lukas.

Brian was known as a “mister fix-it”—someone who could build, repair, or figure out just about anything. He was never one for formality, and that’s exactly how people knew him. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone, often putting others before himself.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and took every chance he could to be outside. He was an avid duck hunter, especially alongside his dog Drake, and loved time on the lake, walks in the woods, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed shooting with friends at the gun range. When he wasn’t outside, he was playing pool, tinkering in the garage, or cheering on his favorite teams—Purdue, the Colts, and the Cubs.

Brian will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and a life well lived.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; his daughter, Nicole (Ryan Einhaus); his son, Shawn (Noel Snyder); his grandchildren; and his parents, Robert and Helen Smoker. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Smoker Bays, and his brother, David Smoker.

Titus Funeral Home of North Webster is entrusted with his care. A celebration of life by the lake will be held at a later date. To leave a condolence, please visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com
