Brandon Wayne Edwards, of Ossian and formerly of Kosciusko County, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis at the age of 44. Born on March 3, 1982 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Cathy Busz. Brandon was a man remembered fondly by all who knew him for his humor and helpful nature. He was truly an all-around good person who brought light into the lives of many.
Brandon served as a floor supervisor at his job in Bremen. Beyond his professional life, he had a zest for life that shone through his hobbies and interests. He was a big NASCAR fan, enjoyed immersing himself in the world of World of Warcraft, and had a love for all things Batman. Among his more lighthearted skills was grilling, even though he wasn’t too great at it . Equally, he enjoyed savoring cheeseburgers and chocolate pudding, simple pleasures that brought him joy.
Brandon truly loved to make people laugh, creating countless moments of joy for family and friends alike. Most of all, Brandon loved his family and was a source of comfort and happiness to them.
He is survived by his children, Samantha (Colson) Edwards and Phillip (Natalie) Edwards, and his stepchildren, Christopher Mclay, Jakob Frohbieter, and Gracie Doberstein. Brandon was also a proud grandfather to Beckett, Ophelia, Orion, and Ace. He is further survived by many extended family members and friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Busz; his grandparents, Dorothy Bell, Darwin Busz Sr., Gilmer Edwards, and Neveda Edwards; and his uncles, Gary Busz Sr. and Brian Busz.
