Bevin J. Lursen

Bevin J. Lursen, 67, of Leesburg, died at his residence on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 due to heart failure.

Bevin was born November 20, 1958, in Warsaw, to John Howard and Monva Jean (Morgan) Lursen. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1977. In 1982, He married Kathleen Annette Barringer and they had two sons, Benjamin Morgan and Lucas John. 

Bevin worked at Champion Door in Warsaw, later owned a family business, Country Door and Trim, and ended his career in the construction trade. He inherited a love of woodworking from his father, Howard, and made many cherished family heirlooms. 

Bevin was preceded in death by his father, John Howard Lursen and his older sister, Robin Marie Lursen Nealy. Surviving are his mother, Jean Lursen, the lovely matriarch of the Lursen family, of Leesburg; his sons Benjamin (and spouse Robin) Lursen, of Milton, FL, and Luke (and spouse Jen) Lursen, of Sacramento, CA; his grandson Johnathon Allen Lursen of Milton, FL; his brothers Brian (and spouse Cindy) Lursen and Brent (and spouse Kathy) Lursen, all of Leesburg; and a sister, Rhonda (and spouse Kevin) Dishman, of Leesburg; several wonderful nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Cremation services to be completed by Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw with a family celebration of life to be held at a later date.
