Beverly Meinert, a devoted mother, caring grandmother, committed wife, and a hardworking farm-wife passed away on May 3, 2023, at her residence. She was 81 years old.
Born on August 5, 1941, Beverly attended Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne. She was married to Aloysius R. Meinert, who most knew as "Al," on August 26, 1967 and shortly after the pair made their home on the farmstead north of Pierceton where Beverly was living until the day she passed. Al and Beverly raised ducks for Maple Leaf Farms for more than 53 years, they were one of the first farm partners and one of the longest to work with Maple Leaf. Her dedication and commitment towards being a farm-wife was unparalleled.
Beverly's personality was feisty but she had a servant's heart, willing to help friends and neighbors. She loved her family and grandchildren fiercely and was known to be a hard worker. Those who knew Beverly know that she had a strong faith in God as she was a devout Catholic; she was a long time member of St Francis Xavier Church in Pierceton and had previously attended Sacred Heart Church in Warsaw.
Beverly will be missed by several close friends and a large extended family. She is survived by two children: daughter, Laura Meinert-Bidle (companion, Peter Kelly) of North Webster and son, Kevin Meinert (wife, Brandie) of Kendallville; grandchildren, Bree Ann Jordan Bidle (boyfriend, Terrence Rose) of Brooklet, GA and Sofia Colbert, Brayden Colbert, Chloe Meinert and Jill Colbert all of Kendallville. She is also survived by her siblings, Sadonna Muldoon of Fort Wayne, Berneice Denney of Fort Wayne and Elaine Hobbs of Dayton, OH.
