Betty Jean Horn

Betty Jean Horn, 94, of Mentone, IN passed away at 8:57 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 11, 1928 in Marion, IN to Adison & Garnett (Kesler) Sanders.

She graduated from Tippecanoe High School and was married on June 29, 1946 at the Church of Christ in Mentone, IN to Kenneth "Kenny” Horn who preceded her on March 31, 1990. She was a homemaker & office secretary at various Mentone businesses. She lived in the Mentone area most of her life and formerly lived in Marion, IN & Sebring, FL.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Mentone, was a foster parent, and a former 4-H leader.

She is survived by:

2 Daughters – Mary Lou Shepherd of Warsaw & Joyce (Tim) Hughes of Albany, IN

Son – Art (Pat) Horn of Mentone

2 Adopted Daughters - Annie Horn & Elizabeth Horn both of Sebring, FL

7 Grand, 14 Gt. Grand, and 12 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother – Earl Sanders.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services will be held. Burial will be in the Mentone Cemetery.
