Listen to Obituary

Betty Sue Reeder, of Milford, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne at the age of 87. She was born on August 9, 1938, in Eminence, Missouri, the daughter of Mary M. and Charles Moore.

Betty married Donald Reeder on February 5, 1968, and they shared many cherished memories until his passing in 2016. They created a loving home filled with joy and support, which stands as a testament to the family bonds Betty held dear. Over the years, they enjoyed driving semi-trucks together, visiting family and friends in southern Illinois and Missouri, traveling to Canada for fishing, and going on cruises.

In her spare time, Betty enjoyed reading and fishing; where she once caught a 32lb fish on a 5lb test line. However, Betty loved her family most, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and pride. Her kindness and caring ways will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family will also miss her homemade chocolate pudding pies, which she always prepared for family gatherings.

Betty is survived by her son, Randall Borders; her daughters, Chrystal Hall and Connie Hernandez; her step-son, Dana Reeder; and her step-daughter, Janice Reeder Jenkins. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, a joyful number of great-grandchildren, and many cherished brothers and sisters in Christ from Clearview United Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; her son, Ronnie Sydall; her step-son, Rick Reeder; and her step-daughter, Joanni Reeder Walston.

Titus Funeral Home of Syracuse is entrusted with the care of Betty. A memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 am at Clearview United Brethren Church, 67622 US-33, Goshen, IN 46526.
