Betty Ann Pritchard

Betty Ann Pritchard, age 91, of Winona Lake, Indiana, passed away on August 11, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1935, in South Bend, Indiana to Virgil and Elizabeth (Speid) Pritchard.

Betty grew up in South Bend and attended South Bend Central High School, where she forged lifelong friendships and developed a deep commitment to compassion and service—qualities that would define her journey through life.

Her professional career spanned many years at RR Donnelley & Sons Co., where she worked until her retirement in 1996. Betty’s work ethic and warm spirit made her a valued colleague and friend. Never one to sit idle, Betty found further fulfillment in caring for children as a babysitter at the YMCA in North Webster, touching countless young lives with her gentle guidance and nurturing presence.

Faith played a central role in Betty’s life. She faithfully attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster and in earlier years was a member of Syracuse Baptist Church, Salem Community Missionary Church in Wilmot, Church of God, and Country Bible Church in North Webster. Her active participation in worship and fellowship provided her with a strong sense of purpose and community, and she was a beloved member among her fellow congregants.

Betty leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends who cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted brother, Jack (Donna) Pritchard of Summerfield, FL. Her nephew, Jack (Angie) Pritchard, Jr. of South Bend, IN; her niece, Deb (Brian) Haugvel of Maui, HI; and her nephew, Kevin (Lindsay) Pritchard of South Bend, IN and sister-in-law, Arlene Pritchard of South Bend. Betty is also fondly remembered by her dear friend Sandy Stauffer, whose steadfast friendship brought both joy and comfort through the years. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Virgil Pritchard; her sister, Eleanor Kent; and her nephew, Frances Kent. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Throughout every season, Betty’s warmth and devotion left a profound impact on those around her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her presence will be greatly missed.
