Basel Hale, 72, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at his home. He was born on February 21, 1949 in Breathitt Co., KY to Forest & Eva L. (Lovely) Hale.
He attended public schools in Kentucky and moved to Pierceton / Larwill area in the mid 1960’s from Kentucky. He was married on March 31, 1970 in Pierceton, IN to Evalee Mullins who preceded him on April 29, 2015. He was a self-employed truck driver, computer technician, certified welder, and surgical instrument repairman.
He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Pierceton.
He is survived by:
2 Sons – Basel Junior (Michele) Hale of Ozark, MO & Forest James Hale of Pierceton
8 Grandchildren - Kegan, Kameron, Aiden, Andrew, Kayla, Ashley, Samantha, and Sarah
2 Gt. Grandchildren – Aylah & Carter
Sister –Cynthia Salyers of Argos, IN
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son – Roger Lee Hale, 2 sisters – Ruth Hale & Ruby Thomas, and 2 brothers – Sam Wierman & Willard Miller.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 @ Free United Baptist Church, 7035 S. St. Rd. 13, Pierceton, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the church with Pastor Etsie Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton, IN. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
