Armando A Marrufo, Sr., age 71, a dedicated and hardworking man whose life was marked by devotion to family, faith, and community, passed away on June 5, 2026, in Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on September 20, 1954, in Galeana, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel and Maria (Acosta) Marrufo.

Armando devoted over 38 years of his life to his work at Dalton, where he was a respected Big Body Grinder. His colleagues knew him as a skilled craftsman and a reliable presence whose work ethic was unmatched. Beyond his professional achievements, Armando was a proud member of the United Steel Workers of America, reflecting his deep connection to and pride in his labor union.

His passions extended well beyond his career. Armando was a man of faith, faithfully attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Argos, where his love for Jesus was known to all who met him. He found joy in traveling and had a keen interest in sports and history. More than anything, Armando deeply loved his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. He was also a devoted dog lover, often accompanied by his beloved canine companions.

Armando’s family was the center of his world. He is survived by his loving children, Wendy (Lenord) Nicholson of Warsaw, his son, Armando Marrufo, II, also of Warsaw, shares his father’s strong character and commitment to family. Armando’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chris (Cami) Cobern and Ryan Cobern, who carried forward his values and warmth. The family circle further expands with great-grandchildren Alina, Laila, Emelia, Reggie, Ruth, and Elenor Cobern, each a living testament to the enduring love Armando nurtured throughout his life. He is also survived by his sisters, Maria Marrufo and Anabel Lackey, both of Warsaw, and his brother Enrique Marrufo, whose bonds of sibling affection remained unbroken. Though his parents, Manuel and Maria (Acosta) Marrufo, Sr., preceded him in death, Armando’s life was a continuing tribute to their memory.

Armando A Marrufo, Sr. lived a full and purposeful life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His dedication, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered with great respect and affection, celebrating a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure within the hearts of his family and community. A Life Celebration will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 12, 2026 with 2 hours of visitation prior to the service at Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
