Ann Janet Gephart, 89, of Warsaw Indiana, passed away on January 8th, 2026, at the age of 89. Ann was born November 5, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Clarence and Mildred Traster. On March 5, 1960, in Fort Wayne, Indiana she married Robert Gephart, who preceded her in death on March 14, 2014.
Ann was a graduate of North Side High School in Fort Wayne and began her career as a secretary for Indiana & Michigan Electric Company. In Warsaw, she worked for Warsaw Community Schools for 22 years, 17 years as secretary of the Athletic Department at the High School.
As a fifty four year resident of Warsaw, Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the Ginn Handbell Choir, Member and past Treasurer of the United Methodist Women, UMC Monday evening Circle, Secretary of the Lakeland Community Concert Association, Treasurer of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, Member of Salvation Army Board, Member of the Live & Learn Home Economic Club, Mobile Meals driver, driver for the American Cancer Society, courtesy driver for DePuy, Board member for the YMCA, and a Girl and Boy Scout Leader.
Ann was very generous with her time and talents and was always willing to help out friends or those in the community when needed. Ann loved her family and really enjoyed the time she spent with her 4 grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress and baker. Traveling domestically and internationally with her husband Bob and friends was something that Ann enjoyed. She also enjoyed playing golf, walking, attending community events, sporting events and baking any kind of pie!
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl K. Giacomini (Kevin) of Georgia; a son, Mark C. Gephart of Florida; four grandchildren: Katherine E. DeWaters (Russell) of Texas, Anna M. Giacomini of Washington DC, Lillian E. Gephart of California and Charles R. Gephart of California. She is further survived by her sister, Phyllis Warner of Fort Wayne, and brothers, Dean Traster (Carol) of South Carolina and Duane Traster (Sandy) of Ohio along with 13 nieces and nephews.
Ann’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service at First United Methodist Church, 179 S. Indiana Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 at 11:00am on Friday, January 16th, 2026. Friends and family may visit prior to the church service from 10:00-11:00. Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bob, in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 179 S. Indiana Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 or Salvation Army of Kosciusko County, P.O. Box 1257, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1257. Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, IN is assisting the family with arrangements.
