Abel J. De Leon

Abel De Leon, age 86, of Cromwell, passed away on June 26, 2026, in Cromwell, Indiana. He was born on January 21, 1940, in Pharr, Texas to Guadalupe De Leon and Antonia Martinez.

Abel's life journey began in Pharr, where his early years were guided by the values of hard work, kindness, and a deep respect for others. Abel proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. These qualities shaped a life of quiet integrity and purpose, traits that distinguished him in every community and endeavor he touched.

Abel is survived by his loving wife, Maria De Leon of Goshen; daughters, Diana Jo De Leon of Elkhart, Eliza Ann De Leon of Cromwell, Christina Marie Maldonaldo of Cromwell, Stephanie Yvette Murillo of Goshen, Priscilla Lynn Murillo of Cromwell; granddaughter, Camille Murillo of Goshen.; sons, Abel Velarde of FL and Juan Jesus Murillo; several grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Rachel Balderas; brothers, Izzy De Leon, Noe De Leon and grandson, Baby Jordan Magallanes.
