Kathy -- I don't get the paper so I didn't know about Jerry's passing until today July 16, 2018. I received a letter in mail stating that Titus Funeral Home had a NEW Ownership (Cory director), so I called to see if I could talk w/you to find out what this was all about...(because I had been wanting to talk w/YOU about Pre-Planning of MY own Funeral anyways). This was when I was informed about Jerry's passing last Oct. I was shocked to find that you guys retired, moved into house close by, & Jerry had passed from Cancer... ( I'm truly Sorrowful to hear about his passing & you as a Widow now ). "YOU" know that " I " know what this is like, as Carter became ill in Oct 2012, CT Scan revealed a Glioblastoma Tumor in his brain no one knew was there, & he passed away in 7 1/2 wks on Dec 17, 2012. You guys BOTH Love/Prayed/Helped me thru that most difficult time in my life...w/Titus Funeral Home giving me Excellent Service & Care throughout the entire process. I'm SO sorry I didn't find out about Jerry til now, as I certainly would've been there for you also. My LOVE & PRAYERS go out to you as the first 2 yrs of Widowhood isn't an easy Journey to adjust & walk thru. ( I gave my info today to Cory (Funeral Dir) to give to you , so you can contact me. I also need your new Address, Email, Cell#...As I want to reach out, stay in touch, and talk w/you. PLS contact me so we can get together...thanks. Love/Prayers/Blessings to you always, Marty J Quance

I only had the fortune of meeting Jerry one time, but it told me a great deal about him. I had attended my first Director's Club dinner for the Wagon Wheel this year. Not knowing anyone there, I sat at a table by myself. It wasn't long after that I met Jerry. He made it a point to sit at the table with just one person. It was so easy to start a conversation with Jerry. It wasn't long until a couple that knew Jerry sat with us. Jerry's initial act made my evening so much richer, and I am so thankful for it. I only regret that I will not be able to enjoy a meal and conversation with him again.

Kathy, I was so shocked today when I heard that Jerry had passed. We were friends for a long time and I will never forget him. I feel so bad for you and all the family and I'm praying for your comfort. Take care of yourself. I've been having heart trouble, so I probably won't be able to come to the service, but I will be thinking of all of you.

To the family of Mr. Titus,
My heart goes out to your family. This a tramendous loss to the Kosciusko Community and for all of us at the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. I had the chance to talk briefly with Mr. Titus at a convention in Indianapolis. Though I did not have the chance to get to know him, from what Richard Owen had told me he sounded like a wonderful friend and an amazing funeral director. God bless your family and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Titus family. Jerry will be greatly missed by his WCHS Class of 1966 friends. He was generous with his time and knowledge. I always looked forward to talking with him on my trips to Warsaw. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Kathy,
We've lost touch over the past few years, but I have fond memories of working with you and Jerry as well as his parents at Titus Funeral Home in the late 1980's. The whole team always treated me with such kindness. You can be proud of the way the two of you were able to work as a team, and thankful for the time you had together.
May God bless you in this time of loss with comfort, pride, fulfillment and peace. Friends forever!

Jerry and I attended Indiana College of Mortuary Science together. I was affiliated with Mungovan and Sons Memorial Chapel in Fort Wayne. My Mother is Patty Mungovan Vogel Beers. My Dad was Ernie Vogel. I always thought Jerry was a really nice guy and I considered us good friends. We had so much in common. It's unfortunate we lost touch over the years. Please accept my deepest sympathy. God be with you all. Janet Vogel Nahrwold

I was so saddened by the news of his passing. He was a true Christian and a good example to follow. I only hope I can be half the person he was. I will be praying for you and your family.

Dear Kathy,
How schocked I was , as I know many others were, to learn of the death of Jerry. Please accept my thoughts and prayers for you and your family at this most tender time in dealing with the loss of him.
I came to work at Titus Funeral Home in the summer of 1982, an intern, 22 years old with a young family, seeking experience and eager to learn. Over the next 5 ½ years I witnessed the Titus family dedicate themselves to the Warsaw community and they graciously accepted me into their work family and shared their experiences and talents with me unselfishly, ultimately shaping me into the funeral director I am today. I spent numerous hours learning from Jerry in the Care Center honing my skills as an embalmer. These lessons, that I learned well and they forged a firm foundation in my career and for this I am most grateful.
In my tenure with the Titus Funeral Home I learned from both Jerry and his parents how to provide not just good but great customer service to a community that they devoted so much of their lives to in Warsaw, I am so grateful for those lessons. Now don’t get me wrong, Jerry and I didn’t always agree on everything or on how I thought maybe things should be done but never the less we worked side by side providing the superior funeral service that the families of Warsaw had come to expect form the Titus Funeral Home. The Titus family was generous with their time, resources and advice to a very young and green Funeral Director and for that I am most grateful. Those life lessons that were shared are treasured. There are so many stories I could share and experiences and yet it wouldn’t nearly convey the gratitude I have for Jerry, Ned and Maryon.
In the days, months and years to come their undoubably will be a huge void in your life but rest asssure you are in many so individuals thoughts, and prayers. Please too express my sympathy to Mitch and Amber and their families, as they may remember me from

I can't begin to express the sorrow I feel of Jerry's passing. I grew up with Jerry and David, going to their home above the funeral home on High St. every Sunday evening after church. My parents, Pete and Louise Miner were wonderful friends with Ned and Maryon. My Dad worked with Ned when the funeral home also had to be an ambulance service. The boys were like brothers to me, and Ned and Maryon a second Mom and Dad. Oh the stories I could tell!! Kathy, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray for peace and comfort for you and the whole family. We will all see Jerry in our Heavenly home and that can give us some comfort. Love to you and the whole family.......Wahnema Hardin!!

So sorry to hear about Jerry. We have been friends since when Amber was in KFC. I worked with him at Lincoln on the PTO board. Then when LaDawns health class visited the funeral home, Jerry called to inform me that she fell apart due to the fact that she was scheduled for knee surgery. He was concerned about her and just wanted me to know. He was so compassionate at the graves when he would say a few words. Will be praying for you during this difficult time.

We are very saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. He handled my father's arrangements just a short 15 months ago, never thought you would be saying goodbye to Jerry so soon. He was such a comfort to us during our time of sorrow, will never forget his kindness, nor the kindness of everyone there at Titus Funeral Home. Please accept our sincere condolences at this most difficult time. He was a real treasure, and will never be forgotten for all he did for us. Praying for his family at this most difficult time.
